News Joe shoots 70, 75, 72 at the Cedar Rapids Open to finish T-23 7/27 - Joe played his final round at an even par 72 to finish in a tie for 23rd place at the Cedar Rapids Open, which earned him a paycheck of $593. Joe struggled to a round of 75 (+3) Saturday dropping him 11 strokes off the lead. Joe did make the cut however and will look to gain some ground on the leaderboard with a strong finish on Sunday. Joe got off to a good start at the Cedar Rapids Open firing an opening round, 2-under par 70. Joe's round consisted of five birdies, three bogeys, and the rest pars. Joe was three strokes off the lead when he finished at 67. Follow the results on the tournaments official home page www.gcropen.com __________________________________________________________________________ Joe shoots 67,70,75 to finish T-5th at the Bos Landen Open 7-15 - Joe's final round at Bos Landen started with solid play on the front nine, but struggled on the closing nine, finishing with a final round of 75. Even though he finished poorly, Joe still managed to place in a tie for 5th with 4 or 5 other players. Final Results 7-14 - Joe continued his play under par firing a 1-under par 70, getting himself to 5-under total for the tournament. Joe stands six strokes back with the leader sitting at 131 (67-64). 7-13 - Joe got off to a good start at his inaugural round at Pella, Iowa's Bos Landen Golf Course with a 4-under 67. Joe's 67 included 5 birdies and 1 bogie. Joe took advantage of the Bos Landen par 5's, playing them at (-3). Joe currently is in a tie for 3rd place, with the leader in at (-6). Joe Participates in John Deere Classic Qualifier, Bos Landen Ahead 7-9 On Monday, Joe participated in the John Deere Classic Monday Qualifier. Unfortunate Joe came up a bit short, never quite building the momentum he needed to qualify, shooting a round of 74. Joe will look to rebound this week with a strong showing at the Bos Landen Open in Pella, IA. After the BLO, Joe will travel to Milwaukee, WI to Monday Qualify for the US Bank Championship. _________________________________________________________________________ Joe Shoots (E) 69-75 in NEXT! Event 3/8 - While the Hooters Winter Series may be over, Joe's golf season continues. Joe fresh off a 3-under par 69 on Wednesday, Joe looked to match or better yesterdays round. Joe struggled today as he did yesterday with his wedge game. Of the 4 bogies Joe made today, all were from wedge distance. Whether Joe finished in the money or not is yet to be decided but keep posted for further updates. Joe's next tournament is Monday, March 12th at Rock Springs Ridge. ___________________________________________________________________________ Joe's improves with (-2) 70, but Falls One Stroke Short 2/14 - Joe teed off early this morning in hopes of posting a low enough score to make the cut into the final round of this week's tournament in Apopka, Florida. Joe improved upon his 1st round 74 (+2), making 5 birdies but finished with a 2-under par 70, getting him back to even par for the tournament. Unlike most weeks, the cut this week will eliminate more players, taking the top 37 and ties. The cut was at 1 under par, leaving Joe 1 stroke out of the final round. Joe's ball striking remained solid with him hitting 27 of the 36 greens in regulation (75%). The average PGA Tour professional averages 68%. (Check back here for the final update for this week). ** Joe's former St. Ambrose teammate, Darren Hince finished tied for 31st. ______________________________________________________________ Joe Finishes T-4 and Nets Career Best Finish on Hooters Tour 2/8 - Today, Joe found himself in the final pairing of the day, just 2 strokes off the lead at this week's Hooters Tour stop at Rio Pinar Country Club. Joe didn't play his best round but managed to shoot an even-par 72, finishing in a tie for 4th place. With his consistent performance and good finish this week. Joe earned $3,500. Joe's game was solid from tee to green all week. A remarkable stat for Joe was that he hit 41 of 54 greens in regulation (76%). Playing well as of late, Joe has made the cut in 2 of his last 4 tournaments. Demory will look to keep his momentum and confidence going into next Tuesday at Rock Springs Ridge in Apopka, FL. The following week (Feb 20-23) is the Hooters Tour Championship held at Black Bear Golf Club in Eustis, FL. ______________________________________________________________ Joe Finishes with Final Round 77, Takes Home a Paycheck 1/25- Today's final round at Deer Island wasn't as favorable for Joe as his first two days. Joe struggled to a final round 5-over par 77. However, if you consider the fact that he only hit 4 greens in regulation, 77 is a pretty remarkable score. Joe's round featured 2 birdies, 2 double bogeys, 3 bogies, and the rest pars. Joe's putting was a big part of his success this week, as he didn't have any 3 putts over the 54 holes that he played. Final Leaderboard & Earnings ______________________________________________________________ Joe Makes Cut @ Deer Island Golf Club 1/24- Joe put together back-to-back solid rounds at Deer Island County Club, firing a 1-under par 71 on Wednesday. Joe's two round total of 141 (70-71) puts him at 3-under par for the tournament, assuring Joe of making his 1st cut of the season on the Hooters Tour. Joe looks forward to keeping his consistent and solid play going, as he looks to make a final round push to the top of the leaderboard. Final Round Pairings _______________________________________________________________________ Burning the Edges 1/17 - Joe hit the links this afternoon looking to maintain his consistent ball striking but looking to score better in hopes of making this week's cut. Unfortunately, things didn't work out the way Joe and everyone would have liked as Joe shot a 3 over-par, 75 at Forest Lake GC. Joe hit 13 greens in regulation once again, however, failed to convert some of his opportunities around the greens into birdies, with many putts burning the edge of the hole. With the cut projected to be around 3-under par, Joe will be getting back at it next week on the tour at Deer Island Golf Club. Hopefully they will start falling. ______________________________________________________________ Even Par Start for Joe 1/16 - Joe got back into action this morning on the Hooters Tour Winter Series, where he shot an Even par 72. Joe got off to a quick start, being 2-under par thru 5 holes. However, he gave a few strokes back coming in and finished at even par. An encouraging stat for Joe was the 13 greens in regulation he hit, more of a Joe type round that he wasn't getting consistently in the first half of the year. Joe tees off at 11:55 am tomorrow EST. However, his time could be moved back due to a 1-hour fog delay that held things back today. First Round Leaderboard ______________________________________________________________ Results from Stoneybrook East Hooters Event 12/6 - Joe picked things up today carding a 3-under par 69. Joe described today round as "his type of round." What Joe was referring to was that he scored well on the par 5s, making 3 birdies. Demory's 69 was his lowest competitive score of his 06-07 campaign. Joe will look to take confidence from his final round at Stoneybrook to Forest Lake for a 2-day Moonlight Tour Event before he heads home for the holidays. For complete results of the Hooters event check back. 12/5 - Joe participated in the NGA Hooters Tour Event at Stoneybrook East Golf Club in Orlando, Florida today. Joe's first round was a disappoinment, as he carded an 8 over par, 80. Joe's round was around par until he reached the par 5- 17th hole, in which he lost 2 balls in the native Florida heather just off the fairway, Joe ended up taking a 9 on the hole, which he was unable to comeback from with only one hole remaining in his round. _______________________________________________________________ 12/6 - Joe picked things up today carding a 3-under par 69. Joe described today round as "his type of round." "A Joe type of round" is a round where Joe hits alot of fairways and greens, scoring well on the par 5s, where he made 3 birdies. Joe Shoots 71 to Win Moonlight Tour Event! 11/29 - On a day that featured wind gusts of 20 mph. mixed with rain, Joe came out on top of the field shooting a 71 to win the Moonlight Tour's Forest Lake event. Joe beat PGA Tour Professional Patrick Sheehan by 1 stroke. After a slow start to his season, this solid round in difficult conditions will certainly help the mindset of Joe. _______________________________________________________________________ 11/8 - Joe shot a disappointing 79 (+7) today at the LPGA International's Champions Course. Joe's two round total of 156 will not get him into Friday's final round. For complete results of the tournament, click here. ______________________________________________________________ 11/1 - Joe put wood in the ground for the first time in his 06-07 Hooters Tour campaign at LPGA International's Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Florida. In his opening round, he started hot on the front nine, turning with a 1-under 35 on the front side. The Legends course is a tighter golf course that has long native fescue off of the fairways. Unfortunately, Joe found this fescue on the back side, taking 5 unplayable lie penalties and finishing with a back nine of 45. Joe finished with an 80 (+8). Joe's second round was uneventful, as he just never got anything going and improving one stroke (79) from yesterday. Although Joe was disappointed with his tournament, he is not discouraged, feeling he can turn things around quickly. Joe will spend the next week working on his long game and preparing for LPGA International's Champions Course.
